| 06/08/2004 - 08/08/2004 | | | The Blenheim Conference – The Silent Alliance: 300 years of Anglo-German Cooperation | | | CDiSS joined the British Army’s Strategic and Combat Studies Institute, the British-German Officers’ Association, the German Armed Forces Military History Research Institute and the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies to present the Blenheim Conference.
The conference examined British-German co-operation and influence over the last 300 years by the presentation and discussion of a number of topics of mutual historical and current interest. The first day considered the historical context of the British-German military relationship. The second looked at contemporary activities focusing on co-operation in multinational military operations.

Entitled "Improving Security Co-operation" the evening was co-hosted by the New Security Programme and the French High Committee for Civil Defence.
